Earn My Meal — a fitness app that calculates the calories in a meal and the workout the user would need to "earn" it, gamifying healthier daily choices.
Brief
The "Earn My Meal" app we built tells users how many calories are in the food they love and translates that into the workouts they would need to do to "earn" the meal. By calculating both calories and exercise side by side, the app nudges users toward healthier daily choices. When the user logs a meal, the app returns walking, running, cycling and HIIT options that match the calorie cost and shows the time each one would take — turning the unspoken "what happens if I do not pay this back?" anxiety into a clean "I will pay it with X minutes of walking" answer. For long-term retention we layered in a daily balance report, a weekly summary and softly worded notifications. The visual language stays deliberately away from the punitive tone of strict calorie-counting apps, leaning on warm typography, character illustrations and a gamified badge system instead.
