Common questions about product design.
- What’s the difference between product design and UX/UI?
- Product design is the full scope — strategy, UX, UI, design systems, engineering partnership, and post-launch iteration. UX/UI is a sub-scope of product design. We sell product design when the client wants a complete partner; UX/UI when they have an in-house team and need our specialism in one phase.
- How long does a product design engagement take?
- Discovery: 4 weeks. Design + design system: 8–12 weeks. Co-build of v1: 12–20 weeks. Total v1 launch: typically 24–36 weeks. Multi-year relationships are common.
- Do you take equity in lieu of fees?
- Rarely. We prefer cash engagements with clear deliverables. Open to small advisory equity stakes on engagements we’re excited about — discussed case-by-case.
- Where are you based, and do you work remote?
- Barcelona (Carrer dels Salvador). We work in-person and remote — most European clients run remote with periodic on-sites.
- What does success look like?
- Success is the product hitting its instrumented metric — DAU, retention, conversion, transaction volume, whatever the client and we agreed on at strategy. Not "the design looks good".
